Deposit and Payment Information A Note to Our Website Customers PLEASE, read through ALL of the following information on this page. If you would like for us to hold a puppy for you, we can do that. However, you will have to send a deposit to hold a puppy. Otherwise, we sell puppies as first come, first serve, on a cash basis. We cannot hold a puppy for you without a deposit. If you tell us you sent a deposit, we will wait a few days on your deposit before selling the puppy to anyone else. If we don't receive your deposit, we will e-mail you and let you know it has not arrived. If we still do not receive it (or an answer from you regarding how it was sent, type of delivery, tracking number, or something), we will go ahead and sell the puppy. The United States Postal Service offers tracking on 2-day express mail, certified mail, registered mail, etc., which is not that expensive. Obviously, FedEx, UPS, and Western Union can also tell you if your deposit was delivered to the correct address and when. Believe it or not, we have had several people tell us they sent a deposit that never came. We have waited as long as 3 weeks for a deposit that never arrived (missing the perfect window for selling a puppy we were holding while waiting for a fictitious deposit). One lady even told me that she had a FedEx tracking number for the deposit and would try to find out what happened to it. When I asked for the tracking number to try and track it from this end, however, I never heard from her again. We generally require half the purchase price as a deposit. The remainder of the purchase price (and full price of shipping, if required) must be paid in full either upon picking up the puppy or before it can be shipped. If shipping is required, once the balance is received, we can then arrange for a vet appointment for interstate health certificate and arrange a shipping date. We will notify you of a prospective available date for vet and shipping. However, after we notify you of prospective dates, If the full balance for puppy and shipping is not received in a timely manner and/or we do not hear from you in regards to what is going on, we will re-list your puppy for sale (in which case, you will forfeit your deposit). We have to have time to schedule the vet appt and reserve a place on the transport for shipping. This is not free. We cannot hold puppies indefinitely while waiting for payments on a final balance and/or shipping. Deposits and payments can be made by cashiers check or money order, but please do not send a personal check. Payments and deposits can also be made by Western Union wire transfer. We are no longer using PayPal but hope to get setup with Google's new checkout program soon. The balance, if there is one, can be paid by cash, cashier's check, or money order. We will print you out a receipt/bill of sale for your puppy upon pickup or with delivery. Once we sign them over to you, your AKC puppy papers also transfer ownership of the puppy to you. After 3 days, deposits are NOT refundable: Once you send a deposit, you have 3 days to change your mind - not 3 business days, 3 days. We will go by the date on your e-mail that says "I sent you a deposit". Believe me, we save all those or the date on the money order, cashier's check, etc. We will hold your deposit for 3 days. If you change your mind within that 3 days after you send it to us, we will refund your deposit. If your puppy would happen to become ill or something would happen to it before pickup, you have the option of picking a different puppy (if one is available); or we will refund your deposit. These are the only 2 instances that deposits are refundable. In all other cases, deposits are NOT refundable. If you would like a puppy shipped, the full price of puppy AND shipping must be received in advance via the above payment methods. In the case of shipping, your interstate health certificate is your health guarantee, and puppies cannot be returned once they are shipped. That health certificate says that your puppy was healthy when it left here and free of illness, infectious diseases, genetic defects, congenital anomalies, or malformations. We are not responsible for the health of the puppy after it gets on the transport service. Regarding cancellations: If you cancel prior to shipping, your deposit is not refundable - no matter what. If you have paid your balance & shipping and cancel before transport, only a portion of this balance/shipping will be refundable, depending on whether we have already gotten the interstate health certificate and/or paid for shipping to TransPet. If we have already put your puppy on the transport, and you refuse delivery or don't show up to pick up your puppy at the scheduled meeting place, we will not refund any of your money. We drive 2 hours each way to put your puppy on the bus. If we have to pick a puppy up at TransPet in Neosho, that is another 3-4 hour drive each way for us. This equates to 11-12 hours in driving time alone for us. TransPet also charges us an additional shipping fee for the shipping back to Neosho. Plus we have already spent our time waiting at the vet's office, etc., money on the exam, transport vaccines, etc. We will also have to re-list your puppy for sale.
